Puppy Crèche

The critical period of socialisation, handling and training pups is when they are between 6 and 16 weeks old. During this time it is important to expose your puppy to as many novel things as possible in a safe and non-threatening way.

 

This early socialisation is critical because even a small amount of experience at this age can have long-lasting effects on your dog. Puppies that are not socialised with other dogs during this early period are more likely to develop aggressive or fearful responses later in life.

 

At Playful Pups Doggy Daycare we aim to provide fun, care and socialisation with other puppies. We accept a limited number of puppies for care in our puppy crèche. Puppies are supervised at all times and socialised with other puppies who are not yet fully vaccinated (not adult dogs) in puppy play enclosures.

 

To ensure that puppies are cared for professionally we restrict the number of puppies cared for and offer this on a Monday only due to the high level of supervision required.  Appointments are essential for puppy crèche.
